Plamere Plasma Pen treatment is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that rejuvenates and tightens skin using advanced plasma technology. The Plasma Fibroblast device creates a small plasma arc to produce controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface without direct contact. This process stimulates fibroblasts, increasing collagen and elastin production, which results in firmer, smoother, and more youthful-looking skin.
Common uses include eyelid tightening, wrinkle reduction, skin tag removal, and treating fine lines and crepey skin. The treatment targets specific areas without damaging surrounding tissue, ensuring quick healing and a low risk of adverse reactions. Results are often visible after one session, with continued improvement as the skin heals. The Plamere Plasma Pen is valued for its precision, safety, long-lasting cosmetic benefits, and ability to enhance appearance without the need for costly or invasive surgery.

How does the Plamere Plasma Pen work?
The Plamere® plasma fibroblast device ionises atmospheric gases to generate a micro electrical arc (plasma) that does not directly contact the skin, but instead induces controlled, superficial micro-injuries. These micro-injuries, or “dots,” heat the epidermal and deeper dermal layers, thereby initiating the body’s natural wound-healing response. This process stimulates fibroblasts, which are responsible for producing collagen and elastin, to contract tissue, synthesise new collagen, and tighten the skin. When strategically placed, these dots can lift, tighten, and refine targeted areas without excising or removing skin, ultimately resulting in smoother, firmer contours over time.

How many treatments will you need?
Treatment plans are customised to your skin type, goals, and the area treated. Many clients see noticeable improvements after one Plasma Pen session, with initial results appearing within a few weeks. Some may need additional sessions for optimal results, which we will discuss during your consultation. Treatments are scheduled at least eight weeks apart to ensure full healing and to evaluate progress.
While the treated area may look healed soon after the procedure, the skin continues to regenerate for several weeks or months. Optimal results are typically seen between 4 and 12 weeks post-treatment. Results can last 2 to 3 years, depending on the number of sessions, your skin’s response, lifestyle, and natural ageing. During your consultation, we will advise you on whether this treatment aligns with your goals, as individual responses vary.
Who is a good candidate for the Plasma Pen treatment?
Plasma Pen treatment is most suitable for individuals with fair to medium skin tones (Fitzpatrick types I–III), as these skin types have a lower risk of post-procedure pigmentation changes and scarring. People with healthy, non-sensitive skin, free of active infections, severe acne, or inflammatory conditions, tend to respond well to treatment.
Those with darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick types IV–VI) may face a higher risk of hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation, so a thorough assessment and detailed consultation are important.
How long does the treatment take, and is it painful?
Plasma Pen treatment sessions usually last 30–40 minutes per area. Treating larger or multiple areas, such as the full neck or forehead, may take longer. The total appointment typically ranges from 1 to 2 hours, including pre-treatment preparations, topical numbing, consultation, and signing consent forms. Most clients experience mild discomfort, described as a stinging or heat sensation, which is minimised by a numbing cream.

DAY-BY-DAY AFTERCARE:
DAY 1-4:
- Swelling is a normal part of the healing process. The treated area may feel hot, similar to a sunburn, for the first 24 hours. This sensation should subside within 24 to 48 hours. Ensure the treatment area remains completely dry. Do not dampen or wet the area.
- Apply the provided healing product with clean fingers, morning and night, for the first 2 days, then every 4 hours as needed.
- You may experience mild itching between days 2 and 5. This is normal. Do not itch, scratch, or abrade the treated dots in any way.
- Continue using the healing product until the crusts naturally fall off.
DAY 5:
- Around day 5, the dots will begin to shed naturally and may continue until about day 10. Allow this process to occur naturally and do not abrade the area.
- Mineral foundation may be used starting from day 5.
DAY 10:
- By day 10, the carbon dots should be gone. You may resume your usual body care, physical activity, and makeup routine.
- It is important to protect the treated area from sun exposure. Avoid direct sunlight, cover the area, or use sunblock for at least 8 weeks.
WEEK 2 – 4:
- Treated areas may appear slightly pink and feel tender to the touch.
WEEKS 5 – 8:
- You should notice continual improvement in sensation, texture, and appearance. By week 8, the treated area will have blended with the surrounding skin.
